Probe Ordered: Sexual Harassment Allegations Rock Suva Hibiscus Carnival

The Minister for Housing, Maciu Nalumisa, has instructed Tevita Boseiwaqa, the chairman of the Suva City Council’s special administration, to promptly conduct a fair investigation into allegations of sexual harassment that arose during the recent Suva Hibiscus Carnival. In a statement, Mr. Nalumisa expressed his deep concern regarding how the Hibiscus committee has managed the situation. He emphasized that the ministry maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of misconduct and highlighted the importance of ensuring the safety and dignity of all participants.
