Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH) is introducing flexible payment plans aimed at individuals experiencing financial challenges, regardless of the complexity and expense of their medical treatments or surgeries. Parvish Kumar, the founder and CEO of PSH, underscored that the organization’s primary mission is to save lives, with financial considerations being secondary.

Currently, PSH offers general practitioner consultations at an affordable rate of $11.50, available 24/7. For more complex treatments and procedures, which may incur higher costs depending on the medical condition and the required care, PSH is committed to providing more accessible payment options.

Kumar noted that no other private hospitals in Fiji and the broader Pacific region have introduced such supportive measures for patients. He expressed concern over the number of lives lost due to financial barriers preventing timely medical assistance. His vision is to eventually provide free complex treatments and open-heart surgeries to deserving patients across the Pacific Island countries, not just in Fiji.

To further this mission, PSH is in the process of establishing a PSH Foundation, which will feature influential board members from various Pacific Island nations. This initiative is designed to enhance the hospital’s outreach and provide necessary services to the wider Pacific community. Kumar emphasized that their goal is to become a leader in the medical field in the region and contribute to building a healthier and more prosperous Pacific.

Additionally, he shared that exciting developments are on the horizon for 2025, including forming strategic partnerships with various stakeholders and government agencies to ensure essential healthcare reaches grassroots communities.

In summary, PSH’s innovative approach to addressing financial barriers to healthcare could significantly impact the lives of many individuals seeking medical treatment in the Pacific region, fostering a more equitable healthcare environment. Their plans for future growth and collaboration signal a hopeful outlook for expanding access to quality health services.
