Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH) has introduced flexible payment options aimed at assisting patients who are experiencing financial challenges, regardless of the complexity or cost of their treatment or surgery. Parvish Kumar, the founder and CEO, stated that the primary goal of the organization is to prioritize patient care, placing the focus on saving lives rather than financial considerations.

Kumar highlighted that PSH is already offering competitively priced general practitioner consultations at just $11.50, available around the clock. He noted that while more complex treatments and surgeries may incur higher fees based on the specifics of the illness and the required work, the clinic is committed to providing manageable payment solutions.

He expressed that no other private healthcare facilities in Fiji or the wider Pacific region have introduced such supportive measures for patients. Kumar also addressed the critical issue of patients losing their lives due to delays in receiving medical care caused by financial constraints.

The vision for PSH extends beyond providing immediate care; Kumar envisions making advanced treatments, including open-heart surgeries, available free of charge to deserving patients in Fiji and throughout the Pacific Islands.

To facilitate this mission, there are plans to establish the PSH Foundation, which will be supported by influential board members from various Pacific Island nations. This initiative aims to broaden their services within the Pacific community and establish PSH as a leader in healthcare innovation in the region.

Additionally, Kumar mentioned ambitious plans for 2025, including the formation of strategic partnerships with various stakeholders and governmental bodies to enhance access to specialist healthcare services at grassroots levels across the Pacific community.

This initiative reflects a hopeful and inclusive approach to healthcare, aiming to eliminate financial barriers and improve the well-being of people across the region. It demonstrates a commitment to community health and a proactive strategy in addressing the healthcare needs of the Pacific Islands.
