Revolutionary Changes Coming to Fiji’s E-Ticketing System

The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) has praised the Government’s recent decision to revamp the e-ticketing system, aiming to make it more consumer-friendly.

The upgrade will introduce a new e-ticketing system designed to streamline operations and improve the user experience for all citizens in Fiji.

A key feature of the new system is the inclusion of other forms of payment beyond the current bus cards.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Cooperatives, and Communications Manoa Kamikamica stated that the introduction of the new e-ticketing system represents a significant milestone in enhancing the convenience and efficiency of public transportation in Fiji.

He noted that the upgrade will not only simplify the process for commuters but also ensure that the transportation infrastructure keeps up with technological advancements.

FCCC CEO Joel Abraham remarked that the inclusion of more forms of payment is great news for consumers and will lead to a more reliable and user-friendly platform for their transportation needs.

He added that the FCCC has a keen interest in the rollout of the new e-ticketing system to ensure it meets the required standards of consumer protection and service quality.

The new e-ticketing system is expected to be operational in the coming months, with extensive testing and stakeholder consultations to precede its full implementation.
