The KGW-sponsored Tavualevu men’s netball team made an enthusiastic return to the court by participating in the Salad Bowl netball festival yesterday. This event marks a significant moment for the team, who re-entered the sport earlier this year after a five-year hiatus.
Team captain Niko Tawake shared the team’s excitement about competing in the one-day tournament. “We are happy to be back after five years and to come and participate in this competition. The boys were excited to participate,” said Tawake.
The team’s return has been impressive; just two months ago, they finished as runners-up in the Western Rally held in Lautoka. Their performance at the Salad Bowl Festival showcased their renewed determination and competitive edge.
The Tavualevu men’s netball team is eager to build on this momentum as they continue their journey in the sport.
