The Yatule Resort and Spa, located on Natadola Beach, is preparing for its grand reopening on Monday after undergoing a $10 million renovation.
Recently visited by the Tourism Fiji team, the resort’s revitalized look received positive feedback. Tourism Fiji CEO Brent Hill praised managing director Damen Goundar and his team for their work on the transformation, expressing excitement about the official opening scheduled for September 9.
Hill emphasized that such investments signify a positive outlook for the tourism industry in Fiji, appealing to both local and international investors. He noted that these developments not only create employment opportunities but also foster growth in ancillary sectors, demonstrating the faith investors have in Fiji’s tourism potential.
Goundar announced that the resort is fully booked for September, highlighting their enthusiasm for the upcoming event, ‘Tourism Share: A Collaborative Evening.’ This event will include prominent tourism leaders such as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Biman Prasad, Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka, and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica, who will discuss key trends and future opportunities within the industry.
The resort’s staff, temporarily assigned to sister locations during the renovations, are set to return in anticipation of the reopening.
