The TotalEnergies Vunato Service Station has officially undergone refurbishment valued at approximately $3.5 million, as announced by property developer Pramod Kumar. The grand reopening of this facility, held last Friday, involved joint efforts among P Kumar & P KUMAR Investment Pte Ltd, Vision Motors, and TotalEnergies.

Kumar expressed that the newly developed service station aims to alleviate the traffic congestion in Lautoka, making it a convenient choice for local residents. “This is a totally brand-new service station,” he highlighted, detailing that the project transformed bare land into a fully operational facility adhering to Singapore’s level two design standards. He also mentioned that additional upgrades are planned for the station.

The next phase of development will include the construction of a sizable warehouse, with an estimated cost of $4.5 million, set to commence shortly. Moreover, the third phase aims to bring in a supermarket and various shops to complement the service station’s offerings.

TotalEnergies managing director, Bhavana Samel, encouraged the community to take advantage of the facility’s prime location and the various services available. She noted the company’s long-standing presence in Fiji—over 26 years—which deepens their connection and commitment to the local community.

Vision Motors’ Business Development Manager, Sai Tokalau, emphasized the milestone achievement represented by this launch and expressed hope for new business opportunities in the future.

This initiative not only showcases investment in local infrastructure but also reflects a growing trend in Fiji, with businesses aiming to support community needs, enhance service accessibility, and promote economic development. Such developments serve as a promising sign of progress, fostering collaboration between businesses and local communities for shared success.
