Independent Member of Parliament, Viliame Naupoto, has resigned as the Opposition Whip.
Speaker of Parliament Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu confirmed the resignation in Parliament this morning.
Ratu Naiqama stated that he received correspondence from the Leader of Opposition, Inia Seruiratu, confirming Naupoto’s resignation.
In the interim, Jone Usamate will assume the position until a new Whip is appointed.
