Opposition MP Viliame Naupoto has resigned from his position as the Opposition Whip, effective immediately.
Leader of Opposition Inia Seruiratu informed the Speaker this morning, stating that the decision was necessary.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament, Naupoto remarked that the resignation was fair.
In the interim, Jone Usamate will take on the role of Opposition Whip until a permanent appointment is finalized.
