Actress Kelley Mack, best known for her role in the hit series “The Walking Dead,” has sadly passed away at the age of 33. According to a statement shared on her CaringBridge page, she died peacefully in Cincinnati after a brave battle with glioma, a tumor that affects the brain or spinal cord.

Her death was announced on social media by her family, who expressed profound sadness over her passing, describing her as a “bright, fervent light” who will be greatly missed. Tributes from colleagues, friends, and fans have flooded in, with many remembering her talent and warmth. Alanna Masterson, who appeared alongside Mack in “The Walking Dead,” shared her pride in having worked together on their final episode.

Throughout her career, Mack built an impressive portfolio with 35 acting credits and five producer credits. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Addy in season 9 of “The Walking Dead,” as well as her role as Penelope Jacobs in “Chicago Med” and appearances in FOX’s “9-1-1.” Additionally, she worked extensively in commercial and voice-over projects, including campaigns for well-known brands such as Dr. Pepper and Dairy Queen.

Graduating from Hinsdale Central High School, Mack furthered her education with a bachelor’s degree in cinematography from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in California. Her family recalls her creativity and supportive nature that inspired those around her.

Mack is survived by her parents, sister, brother, grandparents, and her boyfriend, Logan Lanier. A statement from her family reflects that her legacy will live on through her work in film and television, and she will be forever remembered for her talent and kindness.
