Mr. Taoi was a vital member of the ATH Board and played an instrumental role in several subsidiaries, including Vodafone Cook Islands and as chairman of Vodafone Fiji Limited, Vodafone Samoa, and BlueSky American Samoa. He had over 30 years of expertise in international shipping, supply chain management, and trade facilitation, beginning his career as a management cadet for Burns Phillip and later serving as country manager for DHL.

In 1995, he founded Freight Services (Fiji), an ISO 9001:2015 certified logistics company, demonstrating his commitment to innovation and excellence in the sector. Additionally, Mr. Taoi was a vocal advocate for indigenous participation in business, notably serving on the board of the Fiji Indigenous Business Council, where he worked to promote I-Taukei engagement in the commercial sphere.

At the time of his passing, Mr. Taoi was also a director on the board of the Fiji National Provident Fund. ATH extended its condolences to Mr. Taoi’s family and expressed its intent to honor his legacy through continued dedication to the values he embodied.

The sentiments expressed by ATH resonate with the broader community’s reflection on the impact of Mr. Taoi’s contributions, both to the company and to the development of commerce in Fiji. His legacy serves as an inspiration for future leaders in the industry, galvanizing continued efforts towards innovation and community engagement.

In light of such losses, it is important to take a moment to celebrate the contributions of individuals like Mr. Taoi, whose work not only benefits their organizations but also uplifts the communities they serve. His passing marks a significant moment for ATH and the wider business community in Fiji, reminding us of the lasting effect one person’s commitment can have.
