Spread the love

Diwan Chand Maharaj, the founder of Quality Print PTE Limited, was remembered as a “true friend to many” and a “dedicated professional” in the printing industry during his funeral service, attended by Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka.

Maharaj established his company in 1982, and over the course of more than 40 years, it became a leading name in Fiji’s printing sector, gaining a well-deserved reputation for its commitment to excellence and innovation. His passing signifies a significant loss for Quality Print and his contributions to shaping Fiji’s printing landscape, which supported numerous local businesses.

In addition to his success in business, Maharaj co-founded Sun Insurance PTE Limited in 1999 and was instrumental in establishing the Kidney Foundation of Fiji. He was also an active community leader, participating in various charitable organizations, serving in the Rotary Club since 1990, and holding the national presidency of the Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji.

Prime Minister Rabuka emphasized Maharaj’s embodiment of love and friendship, virtues that resonate deeply within the community. His legacy as a business pioneer and community servant will continue to inspire future generations.

This tribute serves to highlight the profound impact individuals can have on their communities through both business and altruism. Maharaj’s story is a reminder of the importance of dedication not just to professional success, but also to fostering a spirit of generosity and leadership within society.
