James Krishna, the captain of the Lautoka Golf Club (LGC), has indicated that competitors in both professional and amateur categories will be vying for top honors in what promises to be a very competitive tournament. He noted that favorable weather conditions have ensured that the fairways and cart tracks are in prime condition for play.

As a generous sponsor, Shop N Save Supermarket will also be providing additional prizes for the Gross and Nett Divisions, with a special focus on young golfers. The Fiji Professional Golf Association (PGA) has been a steadfast supporter of the LGC, with president Vikrant Chandra playing a key role in bringing 17 of the top professional golfers to compete for a cash prize purse of $7,000.

Raymond Singh, the chairman of the trustees, confirmed that there will be over 40 prizes available, along with sponsor-provided sublimated T-shirts and a traditional lovo lunch for all participants. This marks the eighth consecutive year of sponsorship from Shop N Save Supermarket, thanks to directors Neeshil Deo and Babu Rattan Deo.
