The upcoming Prime Minister’s International Business Awards 2024 is gearing up to be a groundbreaking event, with an unprecedented number of attendees anticipated this Saturday at the Sheraton Fiji Golf and Beach Resort. This year’s ceremony is designed to be a night of celebration, acknowledgment, and inspiration for businesses across Fiji.
Organized by Investment Fiji, the awards stand as the foremost business recognition platform in the country, highlighting and rewarding excellence, innovation, and sustainability across various sectors. Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka emphasized that the awards are meant to honor those who have tackled challenges head-on and have pioneered initiatives aimed at fostering progress towards a more sustainable future.
Under the theme “Innovation & Sustainability,” the awards this year aim to recognize and reward businesses of all sizes that have demonstrated successful outcomes and have strategically focused on sustainability in their operations. A remarkable total of 249 applications have been submitted for the awards, showcasing the high level of participation and enthusiasm from the business community.
The ceremony will feature four new award categories: the Employer of the Year Award, the Excellence in Fisheries Award, the Excellence in Forestry Award, and the Excellence in Yasana (Provincial) Aspiration Award, bringing the total to 15 categories for the event.
