Leading hardware and construction company RC Manubhai & Co. PTE LTD has announced its sponsorship of the Natovi 7s Rugby Tournament, which will take place on June 27–28, 2025, at the Natovi Parish Ground in Tailevu. This exciting two-day event will feature 32 teams from across Fiji and aims to support a crucial community initiative: purchasing a transport truck to aid student commutes for Natovi Primary School and St. Vincent College. This effort is expected to alleviate transportation issues faced by students in the Natovi Parish area.

Dr. Uppiliappan Gopalan, Group CEO of RC Manubhai, emphasized the company’s dedication to community initiatives that promote education, youth development, and social impact throughout Fiji. “This tournament is more than just rugby- it’s a community movement,” he stated, highlighting the importance of their role in giving back to rural youth.

In addition to rugby, the Natovi 7s tournament will serve as a platform for key social advocacy efforts including promoting a drug-free lifestyle, supporting grassroots rugby, and raising awareness about domestic violence. These themes reflect a commitment to fostering unity and resilience within the community, as well as improving the overall quality of life for its members.

With community involvement expected to be high, attendees can look forward to thrilling matches complemented by cultural performances and various engagement activities centered around these significant themes. This sponsorship not only highlights RC Manubhai’s corporate social responsibility goals but also reinforces its commitment to sustainable change and community development at the grassroots level.

Dr. Gopalan added, “We believe in the power of sport and education to transform lives, especially for young people. Natovi 7s reflects the very values we stand for – resilience, unity, and opportunity.” The tournament promises to be a vibrant celebration that enhances community bonds while making a lasting impact on local youth and contributing to their future success.

This initiative signifies a positive step towards addressing community needs, fostering local talent, and promoting essential social values, presenting a hopeful vision for a better future in Fiji.
