Flying Fijians Head Coach Mick Byrne has expressed his support for Isaiah Armstrong Ravula as he takes on the fullback position in today’s Pacific Nations Cup semifinal against the USA. Byrne highlighted Ravula’s background as a fly-half, suggesting that his skills will adapt effectively to the fullback role.
“Isaiah is a talented young player. Coming from the number 10 position, he understands what playmakers are seeking, allowing him to anticipate and occupy space quickly,” Byrne stated. He emphasized that Ravula’s ability to read the game will be a significant asset in his new position.
Byrne also mentioned that Ravula has been comfortable since making the transition. “He’s truly enjoying the freedom at the back, and he’s been performing excellently so far,” he added.
