Ravula’s Big Leap: Can He Shine as Fijian Fullback?

Spread the love

Flying Fijians Head Coach Mick Byrne has expressed his confidence in Isaiah Armstrong Ravula as he takes on the fullback position in today’s Pacific Nations Cup semifinal against the USA. Byrne believes that Ravula’s background as a fly-half will benefit his performance in the new role.

“Isaiah is a talented young player. Having played as a number 10, he knows what playmakers need, allowing him to anticipate plays and fill gaps quickly,” Byrne stated. He emphasized that Ravula’s ability to read the game will be a key asset as he transitions to fullback.

Byrne also remarked on Ravula’s comfort with the position change, noting, “He’s really enjoying the freedom at the back, and he’s been doing a great job thus far.”

Additionally, Byrne indicated that the team is in high spirits and ready for the challenge ahead, while also appreciating the support from fans nationwide. “The team feels the love, and we are fully prepared to give it our all tomorrow,” the coach affirmed.
