Ratu Navula College, captained by Sainivalati Senileba, made a remarkable comeback to defeat Natabua High School 23-19 in the Vodafone Western Secondary Schools Under-17 final held at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
Trailing 6-14 at halftime, Ratu Navula College’s points came from tries by prop Avili Salavou, lock Osea Turuva, and Kaminieli Tuimasa. Sainivalati Senileba contributed with two penalties and a conversion.
Natabua High School’s tries were scored by prop David Levy, flanker Apaitia Nagalevu, number eight Ilisoni Merekoro, and Benedito Finau. The conversions were kicked by Meli Nacuva and Samuela Monofolau.
Both teams will advance to the national quarterfinals in Suva on August 10.
