Ratu Kadavulevu School triumphed over Marist Brothers High School in a tense Vodafone Super Deans U17 final, winning with a close score of 35-34 at HFC Bank Stadium this afternoon.
The match was an intense showdown, with both teams exchanging tries throughout the game. Tevita Rokosuka from RKS stood out, scoring two of the twelve tries made by both teams. RKS went into halftime with a narrow lead of 21-17, maintaining the competitive spirit into the second half.
Lemeki Ratuvukivuki added to RKS’s score with another try, but Marist responded quickly through Saverio Tavakai, bringing the score to 28-22 in favor of RKS. Sairusi Rokotuva contributed two more tries for RKS, while Semi Vuakilau’s late try for Marist pushed the final score to a thrilling 35-34, allowing RKS to seize the victory by a slender margin.
