Ratu Kadavulevu School: The Undefeated Champions Eye New Glory

Ratu Kadavulevu School continued their impressive winning streak by securing the Vodafone Deans Trophy Under-17 title last Saturday. The team has maintained an unbeaten record since competing in the Under-14 grade.

Head coach Usaia Naqicitabua shared that the squad is eager to carry this momentum into next year, with aspirations of restoring their school’s glory in Delainakaikai. During halftime in the final, Naqicitabua emphasized the importance of solid defense to his players, highlighting the need to eliminate careless mistakes during critical moments in the match.

He praised the team’s preparation and composure, especially in the final ten minutes, which were crucial for their victory. Naqicitabua noted that the strength of the team lies in the unity and camaraderie among the players, acknowledging the contributions of the core players who helped build this successful legacy, even as some have since departed.

Looking ahead to next year, Naqicitabua expressed confidence in the team’s goal of reclaiming the Under-18 title, recognizing it as a significant challenge. He affirmed that the team will remain diligent in their preparations to achieve this aim.
