Ratu Kadavulevu School narrowly defeated Marist Brothers High School in an exhilarating Vodafone Super Deans U17 final, winning 35-34 at the HFC Bank Stadium this afternoon.
The match was a gripping encounter, with both teams exchanging tries in a fiercely contested battle. Tevita Rokosuka from RKS was a standout performer, scoring two of the twelve tries made by both sides.
At halftime, RKS led by a slim margin of 21-17, and the intensity continued into the second half. Lemeki Ratuvukivuki increased RKS’s advantage with another try, but Marist responded swiftly with a try from Saverio Tavakai, narrowing the score to 28-22 in favor of RKS.
Sairusi Rokotuva contributed two more tries for RKS, while Semi Vuakilau managed a late effort for Marist. Ultimately, RKS just managed to cling to their lead, securing the victory with a final score of 35-34.
