The Lautoka sugar mill has concluded its 2024 crushing operations, prompting the Sugar Industry Tribunal to announce that the crushing at Rarawai Mill in Ba will cease on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Tribunal member Semi Leweniqila issued this order after discussions with the Chief Executive Officer of the Sugar Cane Growers Council and the Chief Executive Officer of the Fiji Sugar Corporation. The Tribunal has urged all growers and harvesting teams at Rarawai Mill to ensure that all cane is harvested and delivered by Monday, October 14, 2024.
