Police in Raiwaqa are preparing to interview several children featured in a viral video that allegedly shows them harassing a family in the Wailea settlement, with their parents present. Officers from the Raiwaqa Police Station have already initiated inquiries and have visited the complainant involved in the incident.

The children, who live in the same community as the complainant, have been identified. According to reports, the boys were reportedly attempting to remove a beehive located near the complainant’s back window when he asked them to leave his property. The complainant has expressed that he does not wish to pursue the matter further but has requested that police caution the children and advise them against returning to his premises.

In light of the incident, the Fiji Police Force is calling on parents and guardians to take an active role in educating their children about the importance of respecting neighbors and elders. They emphasize that it’s crucial for families to instill awareness concerning the consequences of inappropriate behavior. This incident serves as a reminder of the need for community cohesion and mutual respect among residents.
