Police have carried out a raid in Raiwai, resulting in the seizure of both foreign and local currencies. During the operation, authorities discovered white substances believed to be methamphetamine along with several items suspected to be stolen, including laptops and mobile phones.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Operations, Livai Driu, stated that the raid was executed by the Southern Division’s Serious Organised Crime and Intelligence Unit and the K9 Fiji Detector Dog Unit. Following the operation, two men and one woman were arrested. Driu mentioned that joint raids will persist across the five policing divisions to address organized crime in the area.
This proactive approach by law enforcement demonstrates a strong commitment to curbing crime and ensuring public safety. The ongoing efforts to eliminate organized crime indicate a hopeful future for communities affected by these issues, as police continue to work collectively in their mission to maintain law and order.
