Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Sakeo Raikaci urged law enforcement officers to enhance their performance as they approach the year 2025. Speaking at the conclusion of a two-day joint debriefing session held by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Police Prosecutions, ACP Raikaci emphasized the importance of the event. It provided a platform for various law enforcement personnel, including Divisional Crime Officers, Crime Scene Investigators, and Divisional Police Commanders, to explore strategies for improving service delivery.
He stressed the necessity of translating discussions into actionable outcomes, warning against letting the ideas generated during the session become mere paperwork that gathers dust. “If we are to genuinely shift perceptions in line with our mission of ‘Sustaining Organisational Effectiveness,’ we must ensure that our efforts yield concrete improvements,” he stated.
Raikaci also called on department leaders, managers, and supervisors to elevate their efforts moving forward. He highlighted the substantial investments made in visitations, docket inspections, and verifications, insisting that these resources should result in enhanced investigations, more effective prosecutions, and superior service delivery. “Anything less would be a disservice to our uniform and a failure to honor our commitment to serve,” he concluded.
