A recent incident in Lautoka, where a liquid was observed pouring from the back of a tanker, has been clarified to not involve fuel. A representative confirmed that the substance was actually rainwater that had accumulated on top of the tanker. The tanker was en route to Vuda when the event occurred.
Footage captured by an onlooker and shared online suggested that the liquid was fuel, prompting widespread concern. However, the spokesperson’s clarification aims to alleviate any fears regarding potential hazards on the Lautoka–Vuda Road. This reassurance highlights the importance of accurate information in preventing misunderstandings during such occurrences.
