Adi Cakobau School (ACS) and Suva Grammar School (SGS) have been named co-champions of the Under-19 girls’ category at the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Basketball Championship held in Lautoka.

The championship match experienced a 20-minute delay in the final quarter due to heavy rainfall, which made the court slippery and unsafe for play. At the time of the interruption, ACS was ahead with a score of 21-18, with seven minutes left on the clock.

Considering player safety as a priority, the event organizers decided to award both teams the title.

In the boys’ competition, Marist Brothers High School emerged victorious in the Under-19 boys’ category after a thrilling match against Yat Sen Secondary School, winning with a score of 28-24 and bringing the trophy back to Kaunikuila.
