Adi Cakobau School (ACS) and Suva Grammar School (SGS) were named co-champions of the Under-19 girls’ division at the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Basketball Championship held in Lautoka. The final match was interrupted for 20 minutes in the last quarter due to heavy rain, which made the court too slippery for play. At the time of the delay, ACS was ahead with a score of 21-18 and seven minutes left on the clock. After evaluating the conditions and ensuring player safety, the organizers chose to award both teams the title.
In the boys’ division, Marist Brothers High School emerged victorious, winning the Under-19 boys’ title by a close score of 28-24 against Yat Sen Secondary School, bringing the trophy to Kaunikuila.
