A man has been arrested on suspicion of receiving stolen property. A raid conducted by the Southern Division operations team at the suspect’s home in Cunningham on Friday resulted in the seizure of electronic devices and other valuables believed to be stolen.
Assistant Commissioner of Police – Operations (ACP) Livai Driu stated that investigations are ongoing, with divisional operations focusing on identifying individuals who receive stolen goods to help reduce the incidence of theft and robbery. ACP Driu noted that thieves often target items that can be quickly sold for cash, including mobile phones, tablets, smartwatches, laptops, and jewelry, and that those involved are being closely monitored by the police.
The suspect is currently being held at the Nabua Police Station.
