Banuve Tabakauro, athletics coach at Queen Victoria School and a former sprint champion, commended Isimeli Raibevu for his impressive performance during the school’s recent athletics meet. Tabakauro highlighted Raibevu’s consistent track record, stating, “Isimeli is not new to the system; he’s been in it for years and has always made it to the 100 meters finals since year 9 until year 11, and he’s been doing really well.”

Tabakauro noted that Raibevu’s dedication to his training was evident, citing a commitment he made to the off-season program that has already begun to yield results. “I’m really looking forward to building the team for the zone meet,” he added, expressing optimism about the upcoming competitions.

In addition to Raibevu’s achievements, Rewa House distinguished itself by winning the title of best intermediate team, finishing second overall in the interhouse competition. The team secured a commendable total of 12 gold, 20 silver, and 13 bronze medals, showcasing the depth of talent within the school. This success not only highlights individual excellence but also reflects the collective effort and spirit of the school’s athletics program.
