Semi Radradra, the centre for the Flying Fijians, may leave his French Top 14 club Lyon midway through the season to join a team in Japan. The 32-year-old is contracted with LOU until June 2025, but reports indicate he has received several offers from clubs in the Top League and is likely to accept one. Despite being in the latter stages of his career, this potential move could prove to be highly lucrative for Radradra.
His time at Lyon has been challenging, with only fifteen appearances and a single try scored since he joined the club. Lyon is already looking for a replacement, with interest in Fijian Drua’s Iosefo Mafi, as well as inquiries made for Toulouse’s Ange Capuozzo and Timoci Tavatavanawai from the Highlanders.
Radradra has played 20 test matches for the Flying Fijians and was part of the team during the 2019 Rugby World Cup, scoring six tries and showcasing his ability to play in various positions, including wing, centre, and fullback.
