Semi Radradra is reportedly considering a mid-season departure from Lyon as rumors emerge about a potential move to a franchise in Japan. The Fijian center, who has 20 international caps, is currently under contract with LOU until June 2025. However, according to Midi Olympique, he has received multiple offers from Top League clubs and is inclined to accept one.

At 32 years old, this transfer could represent one of the most financially rewarding opportunities of his career. Radradra’s time at Lyon has been challenging, with only 15 appearances and one try scored since joining the team.

In anticipation of Radradra’s possible exit, Lyon is reportedly looking into potential replacements. There is interest in Fijian Drua’s Iosefo Mafi, as well as inquiries about Toulouse’s Ange Capuozzo and Timoci Tavatavanawai from the Highlanders.

Born in Suva, Radradra began his career in Sevens before transitioning to rugby league, joining the Parramatta Eels in the NRL in 2013. He played 94 matches for the Eels, scoring 82 tries and establishing himself as a dynamic winger.

In 2017, Radradra switched to rugby union with Toulon, where he played 21 matches and scored nine tries over two seasons. He then moved to Bordeaux Bègles, becoming a key player with 10 tries in 22 appearances.

His impressive performances in France led him to the English Premiership, where he played for the Bristol Bears from 2020 to 2023, making 53 appearances and scoring 18 tries, contributing to their European Challenge Cup win in 2020.

Radradra has also represented Fiji in 20 test matches, including participation in the 2019 Rugby World Cup, scoring six tries for his national side and showcasing his versatility by playing in various positions such as wing, center, and fullback.
