Another Flying Fijian has joined the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua player roster for next season.
Flying Fijian and Racing 92 centre Inia Tabuavou has signed a two-year contract for 2025 and 2026.
The former Natabua High School student made his Flying Fijians debut this season and played against Georgia and the All Blacks in San Diego.
He will join the Fijian Drua pre-season upon the completion of the 2024 Flying Fijians Test calendar.
“It feels good to be home, especially with the Drua family. I’m really looking forward to trying out the new environment, especially the culture of the team, and also the type of rugby they play,” he said while speaking to the franchise.
Tabuavou made 21 appearances for Racing 92 and scored three tries.
He made his debut for the French Top 14 club in 2020 where his strong performances in the mid-field on both attack and defence earned him a Flying Fijians call-up earlier this year.
He is expected to make his debut in the 2025 Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.
