Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has expressed that he is currently feeling overwhelmed by his extensive workload and is planning to redistribute some ministerial duties in the upcoming year. Currently, Rabuka oversees several crucial portfolios, including Foreign Affairs, Climate Change, Civil Service, Public Enterprises, Police, and Immigration.

At the age of 76, Rabuka has acknowledged that the weight of these responsibilities has begun to take a toll on him. He has mentioned that he often finds himself working late into the night to manage the numerous ministerial files and tasks at hand.

With the upcoming reassignment of portfolios, Rabuka believes that he will be better equipped to serve as a leader and fulfill his responsibilities more effectively. This decision reflects a commitment to governance that prioritizes both his well-being and the need for efficient leadership.

In light of this situation, it’s hopeful that the planned changes will lead to a more balanced distribution of tasks among ministers, allowing government functions to operate more smoothly and providing Rabuka with the ability to focus on strategic decision-making. Such adjustments could enhance the overall effectiveness of the government and ultimately benefit the citizens of Fiji.
