Rabuka’s Stance: Unaware of Church Concerns Over Controversial Statement

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has stated that he is not aware of any concerns expressed by the Methodist Church of Fiji regarding Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection Lynda Tabuya’s recent comments. Mr. Rabuka mentioned to reporters, “No, I have not been informed, I have not heard from the MCIF directly.” As of the time of this report, he had not indicated whether he plans to meet with Ms. Tabuya upon his return to Fiji. Currently, Mr. Rabuka is in Tonga participating in the 53rd Pacific Island Forum Leaders Meeting, which is scheduled to conclude tomorrow.
