During a recent inter-ministry Thanksgiving and Christmas Service held at Suva’s Centenary Church, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka extended his heartfelt appreciation to civil servants for their unwavering dedication and hard work. He remarked that these individuals are the cornerstone of Fiji’s development, emphasizing that every position, from clerks to process verifiers, plays an essential role in the functioning of the government.
Rabuka also took the opportunity to underscore the importance of Christmas as a time for healing and reconciliation. He encouraged civil servants to recommit themselves to their roles in public service, advocating for a renewed sense of integrity, humility, and purpose in their work. The service was well-attended, with representatives from various government sectors, including the Police Force, Foreign Affairs, and Public Enterprises.
This gathering not only recognizes the efforts of civil servants but also reinforces the importance of unity and purpose within public service, fostering a spirit of collaboration to drive Fiji’s progress forward. As the community comes together during this festive season, it serves as a reminder of the impact that dedicated service can have on achieving collective goals for the nation.
