Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka, leader of the People’s Alliance, has reiterated his strong support from coalition partners, the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) and the National Federation Party (NFP), following the recent swearing-in of three new Ministers and three new Assistant Ministers. Rabuka confirmed that he had obtained the necessary approvals from both parties before the ceremony, a move that underscores the collaborative spirit of the coalition.

Viliame Takayawa, General Secretary of SODELPA, echoed Rabuka’s sentiments, stating that the coalition remains robust and unified, although he did not elaborate further. The NFP has also affirmed its steadfast support for the coalition government, highlighting the importance of teamwork in confronting Fiji’s ongoing challenges.

This confirmation of coalition strength comes during a crucial time as leaders seek to address significant issues impacting the nation. Statements from Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica and other cabinet members reinforce their commitment to the coalition and its objectives.

Looking ahead, Prime Minister Rabuka is scheduled to visit New Zealand for discussions with the Prime Minister and participation in Fiji Day celebrations. He is also set to attend the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa. These forthcoming engagements reflect the coalition’s dedication to fostering a thriving future for all Fijians, particularly the youth.

In summary, the coalition appears resilient and unified, with local leaders expressing optimism about their collaborative efforts in governance. This proactive approach fosters hope for the future as the government continues to tackle national challenges and work toward solutions that benefit the Fijian populace.
