Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka departed Fiji this morning for China following an invitation from Premier Li Qiang for a State Visit. In his absence, Deputy Prime Minister Viliame Gavoka will assume the role of Acting Prime Minister. Gavoka emphasized the importance of the 49-year diplomatic relationship between Fiji and China, noting efforts to further enhance these ties. He expressed well wishes for safe travels and a successful visit for Prime Minister Rabuka, highlighting the need for the government to maintain its services to the public without interruption.
