This tragic incident has deeply affected many, prompting Rabuka, on behalf of the Government and the people of Fiji, to express his heartfelt condolences to the families mourning their lost loved ones. He also extended wishes for a swift recovery to the survivors and their families.

Rabuka emphasized Fiji’s solidarity with Australia during this challenging time, stating that the thoughts and prayers of the Fijian people are firmly with the victims’ families and those who survived the attack. He took a moment to commend the remarkable bravery of the Australian police officers and nearby citizens, highlighting their heroic actions in saving innocent lives during the incident.

The Prime Minister made a strong statement against terrorism, hate, and violence, asserting that such inhumane acts must be condemned in all forms.
