The Ra Health Office recently conducted a comprehensive training session for Community Health Workers (CHWs) at the Nasau Health Centre, coinciding with the introduction of several new health initiatives aimed at enhancing frontline healthcare services.

During this training, specialists from the Department of Oral Health focused on early detection methods for oral cancers and diseases, while peer educators facilitated discussions on vital topics such as sexual and reproductive health, HIV/AIDS awareness, and point-of-care testing. This multifaceted approach aims to empower CHWs with the necessary tools to address diverse health concerns within the community.

In addition to the training, the Ra Health Office officially launched its TFS Programme, Healthy Setting initiative, and Healthy Workplace programme at the Nasau Health Centre. This concerted effort signifies a commitment to improving health outcomes across various communities, ensuring that residents have access to essential services.

The training session was specifically tailored for CHWs serving the Nasau Medical Area, which encompasses 20 villages and 19 settlements. By equipping these workers with updated knowledge and practical skills, the Ra Health Office aims to enhance the overall health and well-being of the community. This positivity reflects an ongoing dedication to proactive health measures and community engagement, fostering a healthier future for all residents involved.
