Queen Victoria School defended their U18 Vodafone Super Deans title with a decisive 27-13 win against Nasinu Secondary School at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva. QVS opened the scoring in the 12th minute when hooker Waisake Vakacere crossed for a try, successfully converted by fullback Nathan Stephens, giving QVS an early 7-0 lead.
They extended their lead to 12-0 after winger Joleni Raiyawa scored another try in the 19th minute. Nasinu’s Samuela Ravoci kept his team in the contest with two penalty kicks, narrowing the score to 12-6. Stephens then added a penalty for QVS, bringing the halftime score to 15-6.
