QVS Captain Celebrates Triumph in Super Deans Trophy Final!

Anare Tabakaucoro, the under-18 captain of Queen Victoria School, expressed great pride in leading his team to victory in the Super Deans Trophy final against Nasinu Secondary School. He credited their success to hard work, unity, and determination throughout the season. The reigning champions secured their title with a convincing 27-13 win at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva on Saturday.

Tabakaucoro indicated that they found the game manageable, attributing their confidence to faith in God and their focus on executing their game plan. He emphasized the importance of their coach’s pre-game advice, which encouraged the players to avoid pressure and enjoy the experience.

He praised his teammates, noting, “I am really proud of the boys’ performance and the teamwork. Despite facing challenges in our daily lives, we managed to come together and play for one another and for our families.”

As he approaches his final year at school, Tabakaucoro is now concentrating on his exam preparations and aims to perform well. He also took a moment to express his appreciation to teachers, parents, fans, and supporters of Queen Victoria School for their steadfast encouragement.
