Queen Victoria School is on track to defend the Vodafone Deans U18 title after a tough 17-11 win over Ratu Navula College in the second semifinal at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Fullback Nathan Stephens was instrumental in the victory, converting three penalties in the early stages of the match. Just before halftime, Ratu Navula made a comeback, scoring a try and a penalty to narrow the score to 9-8.
The second half was marked by fierce competition from both sides. Ratu Navula managed to add another penalty, but QVS clinched the match with a try and another penalty from Stephens, advancing to the finals against Nasinu Secondary School next Saturday.
