Traffic authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who tragically lost his life in a suspected hit-and-run incident in the Southern Division. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mitieli Divuana reported that the man, believed to be in his late 20s and of i-Taukei descent, was lying in the middle of Queens Road near Talenaua in Navua when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old driver at approximately 1 a.m. last Friday.
Despite immediate efforts to save him, the victim was pronounced dead upon arrival at Navua Hospital. As investigations continue, officials have not been able to identify the victim and are now releasing images of his clothing and a distinctive tattoo on his left arm in hopes that someone may provide information.
