A three-member Tribunal is set to convene today and continue through the week to examine allegations of misconduct against suspended Director of Public Prosecutions, Christopher Pryde. The Tribunal is led by Justice Anare Tuilevuka along with members Justice Samuela Qica and Justice Chaitanya Lakshman.
Recently, Pryde communicated with Justice Tuilevuka, expressing his inability to attend the tribunal’s hearings. In his correspondence, he raised concerns about the fairness of the proceedings, highlighting that he feels he has not been given sufficient resources to prepare an adequate defense.
The hearing is scheduled to commence at 9 am each day.
This development underscores the importance of transparency and fairness in legal proceedings, ensuring that all parties have a fair opportunity to present their case. It is a critical moment for accountability in the justice system.
