The Minister for Housing, Maciu Nalumisa, has directed Suva City Council chairman Tevita Boseiwaqa to conduct an immediate and unbiased investigation into allegations of sexual harassment that occurred during the recent Suva Hibiscus Carnival. In a press release, Nalumisa expressed serious concern regarding the management of the issue by the Hibiscus committee. He emphasized that the ministry maintains a zero tolerance policy towards any form of misconduct and highlighted the necessity of ensuring safety and respect for all event participants. The ministry aims to uphold the integrity of public events, ensuring they are both safe and dignified for everyone involved.
