Pro Pack Triumphs at Charity Golf Tournament in Fiji!

Team Pro Pack emerged victorious in the Caritas Fiji Golf tournament, sponsored by Fiji Airways, which took place at the Denarau Golf and Racquet Club last Saturday. The team, featuring Kishor Kumar, Inoke Bolakoro, Damien Sheridan, and Roneel Prakash, finished with an impressive score of 56.125 points.

Damien Sheridan, who celebrated his first experience playing golf during the event, expressed his excitement, stating, “I’m playing golf for the first time and great to be part of the winning team.”

The second position was claimed by Team Rariben, which included Shelly Rariden from Michigan (USA), alongside Father Sigarara and David Qiolevu, who recorded a score of 56.3 points. Rariden shared her thoughts on the event, highlighting the warm hospitality and beautiful course in Fiji, which exceeded her expectations. “We just had a great time. We also do support charity golf back home,” she noted.

Finishing in third place was Team Mali, comprised of Nitulesh Mali, Avinesh Dutt, Shivneel Gounder, and Abid Hussain, who achieved a score of 56.62 points.

Arthur Groom, the director of Caritas Fiji, expressed gratitude toward Fiji Airways for their generous sponsorship of the tournament, which is now in its second year. He emphasized that all proceeds from the event would contribute to their charitable initiatives, aimed at assisting those in need within the community. “A big thank you to our generous sponsors for making this event possible. Let’s make a difference together,” he urged.

Caritas Fiji serves as the social arm of the Catholic Church in the country, focused on promoting charity and supporting marginalized groups, helping to raise awareness for those facing injustices.

This event highlights the commitment to community support through sports, showcasing how such gatherings can foster relationships while contributing to important social causes.
