This comes in light of the unexpected resignation of Pita Wise, who resigned yesterday for personal reasons. Rokovada expressed his hope that the Prime Minister would make a decision today, enabling the most suitable candidate to assume the role of Permanent Secretary without delay. He also mentioned that an announcement will be made shortly.
