Prime Minister Urges Kadavu Residents to Keep Pressure on Officials for Timely Development Actions

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka is calling on the people of Kadavu to maintain pressure on officials to ensure timely progress on development projects.

Expressing his apologies for the slow utilization of funds allocated for the province’s development, Rabuka acknowledged the delays and emphasized that islanders should actively follow up with various government ministries to monitor the progress of local projects.

Rabuka highlighted that the populace had the right to hold the government accountable and ensure that development within their communities continues as planned.

Additionally, he clarified that unspent development funds from the last financial year remained in the Finance Ministry’s budget.

The Kadavu Provincial Council meeting, which is being held at the Suva Civic Centre, concludes today.
