Prime Minister Set to Make Key Appointment Following Sudden Resignation

Public Service Commission Chairperson Luke Rokovada has reported that candidates have been proposed to Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka for the position of Permanent Secretary to the Office of the Prime Minister. This comes in the wake of Pita Wise’s sudden resignation, which he attributed to personal reasons. Rokovada expressed optimism that the Prime Minister would reach a decision today to ensure a suitable candidate can assume the role of Permanent Secretary without delay. He also mentioned that an announcement would be forthcoming.
